It is surrounded by a magnificent forest of Arolle pines. The building dates from 1896 but the interior has been completely redone in 1979 with full modern comfort. The rooms are nicely decorated and have at least one wall covered with wood from local trees; Arolle and Meleze issued from the old beams that were recovered during the renovation.
